At Beautica Dental Center, our experts perform dental filling in Abu Dhabi with perfection. A dental filling is a procedure for restoring a tooth that is damaged to its normal function and shape.

There are many types of tooth filling materials available, each with their own pros and cons. Usually, the materials used for filling include gold, porcelain and composite resin (tooth-colored fillings). We, at Beautica, will sit with patients and discuss the most suitable filling method for restoring your teeth.

COMPOSITE FILLINGS

Today, composite restoration is the most widely preferred filling method. Composite fillings are a mixture of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium, which produces a strong filling. They fix chipped and worn teeth, close space between two teeth, repair cracked or broken and decayed teeth. The damaged portion will be removed and filled with a composite filling. As composite fillings have the same colour as your natural teeth, they are widely accepted and are best-suited to apply on the front or the more visible areas of the teeth. Even though they are very durable, composite fillings are not permanent solutions just like any other dental restorations and, hence need to be replaced after a period of time.

How is composite restoration done?

We usually perform composite restoration in a single appointment. After numbing and removing decayed parts of your teeth, it will be carefully cleaned and prepared before the new filling is placed. The composite filling will then be accurately placed and polished to get a natural and fresh look.

For the first few days, you may experience sensitivity to heat and cold but this will settle down very soon. If you take care of oral hygiene and maintain healthy eating habits, your composite filling can last much longer.
